Ski houses have been an integral part of the skiing community since the first ski lifts began to turn. Ski houses help to cut the overall cost of skiing by gathering a group who rent the house together. The group then charges guest fees to defray the other costs of running the house, like electricty, firewood, oil, phone, cleaning service, cable, trash removal and snow plowing.

Club X-Ta-Ski is located in Waitesfield Vermont. Sugarbush North and South, and Mad River Glen are just ten minutes away. Sugarbush is so close that we can use our radios to talk with people on the mountain.

Expectations

We all love to ski. Living in a group community takes patience and cooperation between members and guests. Here are some of the expectations of you as a guest.
  1. It is each persons responsibly to make their own breakfast and lunch with plentiful ingredients provided. We will gladly help you find anything you may be looking for.
  2. Please smoke outside.
  3. The house has one king, one double, and 10 single beds so please clear with your member what bed you will be using so that you can bring the appropriate sheets. We also sometimes combine two singles into one couple bed.
  4. You are responsible to bring cash to pay for your lodging and food bill which your member will collect from you before Saturday dinner. Please stow your gear in your room so it doesn't clutter up the common areas.
  5. We ask that you leave your sleeping area clean and tidy when departing.
  6. If you feel like helping with Saturday night dinner or clean-up we would be very grateful.
  7. Sorry, no pets.
